Hello again!! Here are a few pictures from Italy this past weekend. Some are doubled up and again they are not in a very great order but I haven't had a lot of spare time to figure this out so you will all have to bear with me...I'm a bit challenged when it comes to technology and spelling (sorry if there are some mistakes). This past Friday Heather, Amanda, and I flew into Pisa and spent the afternoon looking at the leaning tower and walking the streets of the quiet little town. We then took a train to Florence but not before having PIZZA In PISA!! When we arrived in Florence, it was dusk...we took advantage of the beautiful city at night by walking across several of the squares and of course the Ponte Vecchio with our gelato. The famous bridge and all of its jewel shops sparkled even more by night! I can see why Florence is considered a romantic city!! The next day we were up early and spent the morning navigating the Gallery Academia and the Uffizi Museum...among many great pieces of art we saw the David and the Aphrodite painting!! We enjoyed lunch in the Plaza Duomo before climbing the 414 steps of the bell tower for a breathtaking view of the city. Saturday night was spent enjoying pasta, bread, salad, limoncello, coffee, and gelato again (how often are you in Italy right?!)! We got up at 6am on Sunday to catch a train back to London...it was a fabulous trip and sad to leave Italy...but when home is London, it is never that sad!! I am headed to Stonehenge on Friday and then Spain for the rest of the weekend so rest assured...there will be plenty more pictures next week. For now I need to get back to my British Politics project! Take care all!
Cheers until next week!
